Jang Minsook

"Luxurious, elegant and contemporary" best describes designer Jang Minsook's approach in creating her stunning jewellery collection. From her Korean origin, she has brought an explosion of eastern flare to the London fashion scene. Her designs defy conventions with innovative combinations of precious, semi-precious stones and diamonds - set against 18k gold, silver and platinum.

The store and showcase, of her own name, may be found in Beauchamp Place in Knightsbridge. The store has a setting of an art gallery and features MinSook’s designs rendered in a variety of materials.

After working for two years in the fashion accessories industry, Minsook branched out on her own by successfully launching Folli Follie, a Greek jewellery brand, in South Korea. In one and a half years, she transformed the brand from being an unknown to a top-selling, high-quality jewellery brand in Korea. In 2000 she sold her business and spent the next 5 years travelling. The different sights, sounds and cultures that she experienced are the inspiration for her new brand. With her ingenuity, she sets out to create “balanced” jewellery that is luxurious, elegant and beautiful without being heavy to wear. The design is contemporary and sensous, with a subtle hint of her heritage.

The brand is based around limited editions, with more individual design runs. As she wants to produce jewellery that families will want to keep for generations, top quality gems were used and she works with a vast array of producers all over the world to the strictest quality.
